BRIDGING THE GAP TO SUCCESS

Our community scholarship are available to student in Gloucester, Middlesex and Mathews counties seeking higher education. We connection and partner with local businesses, organizations along with the civic/faith-based agencies to provide a wide range of post primary education opportunities.

Scholarship Program Requirements

Conditions

Scholarship payments of $500.00 will be applied to any degree program at an accredited Technical, Junior College, College or University selected by the recipient and approved by the B. C. United Outreach Scholarship Committee Members.  The deadline for the B. C. United Outreach Scholarship Application is March 31, 2025.  Please print clearly and in ink.

Eligibility

The applicant must be

 A graduating High School Senior from Gloucester High School, Matthews High School or Middlesex High School (an official or unofficial copy of transcript) 

Accepted to a FULL-TIME Associate’s or Bachelor's degree program

Award Terms

Payments will be issued at an appointed time.   An award letter will be sent to the recipient who meets the eligibility, terms and conditions for the B. C. United Outreach Scholarship. 

Note: Award checks of $500.00 will be written to the selected school of enrollment.

Procedures

Obtain a copy of the Scholarship Application Packet from the High School Counselor’s Office, Committee Member or request an electronic copy from bcuoutreach9@gmail.com.

The applicant must provide a copy of an official acceptance letter, one letter of recommendation (Ex: Administrator, Counselor, teacher or one personal reference that’s not a family member), and a transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable).

The applicant must also provide a written essay of at least 500 words.            

Topic: What are your career goals and how will earning a degree or certificate help you achieve these goals?
